In addition to language and images, one powerful
tool I've observed that mediates action are
facilitated activitystructures themselves
(i.e. organization of classroom lessons,
"nominal group process", etc.). These activity
structures are often devised as "tools for
learning"and mediate participation in cultural
activities.
