I actually am familiar with the Foucalt referred to by Umberto Eco, but in
responding I somehow wasn't thinking about that. I of course was
responding in terms of Michel Foucalt which had nothing to do with the post.
I know one should never respond impulsively to a list post, particularly
provocatively. Now I have learned the lesson once more.
