Jay, I think, requested titles of books that take a psychoanalytic look at
affect. Today in the mail I got a copy of a new book by Fred Newman (w/
Phyllis Goldberg) called Performance of a Lifetime: A
practical-philosophical guide to the joyous life. Newman, as you might
know, coauthored Lev Vygotsky: Revolutionary Scientist with Lois Holzman. I
can't recommend the book yet because I haven't read it, but it looks
interesting--Lois, have you followed the development of this one? The
publisher is Castillo International, 500 Greenwich St, Suite 201, NY, NY
10013. And it's affordable, $12 in paperback.
