Below is our ad for an Assistant Professor in developmental psychology at
San Francisco State University.  The area of specialization is open.****

SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY, DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY invites applicants
for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Developmental
Psychologyto begin August 2013. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in
Developmental Psychology or a related field and must provide evidence of a
high-quality program of research and teaching experience.****

Candidates are preferred who have teaching and/or research experience in
multicultural settings. The area of developmental specialty is open, but
preferred areas are social development, particularly social interaction,
broadly defined. Expertise related to media would be especially attractive.
Faculty are expected to be excellent teachers and researchers. Review of
applications will begin November 1, 2012, and will continue until the
position is filled or the search is discontinued. Filling this position may
be contingent on funding. Candidates should submit, in hardcopy, a letter
of intent, a current curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching and research
interests, and a sample of scholarly papers, to Julia M. Lewis, Ph.D.,
