The two positions are defined as follows: Full-time Phd Studentship The doctoral assistant will develop an original PhD dissertation within the domains of expertise of prof. Tania Zittoun He or she should have solid knowledge in sociocultural approaches, master quantitative and qualitative methodologies, be interested in lifelong development, and for symbolic processes (www2.unine.ch/cms/site/psy/lang/fr/home/publications/auteurs_listes_de_publications/zittoun_tania) . Half-time PhD Studentship The doctoral assistant will participate to the tutoring of the Methodology course of the Bachelor in psychology and education, including an introductory course to research methods in psychology and education (prof. A. Iannaccone) and a course in academic skills (prof. J.-F.Perret). He or she should have an excellent mastery of qualitative and quantitative methods in psychology and/or educational sciences. He or she will develop a Ph dissertation within the domains of expertise of prof. Antonio Iannaccone. For both positions: Person specification: Master in psychology or educational sciences (or equivalent), achieved at the latest at job start. The candidate needs to be fluent in English and will have to acquire a sufficient level of French to work and teach in a French speaking environment within a year. The candidate can be aged up to 30; exceptionally, the age limit can be postponed in case of previous professional experience, double academic training or for reasons connected to father- or motherhood. The doctoral assistant should be interested in teaching at Bachelor and Master levels in researchoriented, interdisciplinary programs; he or she should be able to work autonomously and show initiative, and also, have the capacity to work in a team and to participate to the life of the institute; and be interested in developing an international activity. Job definition: research leading to a doctoral dissertation and involvement in research activities (conferences, workshop, reviews, etc.) (50%); student teaching and supervision (seminars, etc.) (30%); participation to administrative duties (20%). Salary : according to the regulation of the University of Neuchâtel (http://www2.unine.ch/srh/page- 20956.html ); six weeks of annual holidays.
