Re: [xmca] "The Swerve" a new book reviewed on PBS today

Marx places a lot of store in the concept of "swerve" too, which he ascribes to Epicurus.

For Marx, the swerve marked the difference between what came to be called "mechanical materialism" and what came to be called "dialectical materialism" (not Marx's terms, of course).

This book won the Pulitzer prize for non-fiction.
Here is a review of the book in the Globe & Mail newspaper
