RE: [xmca] Man's best friend, his role in evolution?

I'm not sure whether this link (http://www4.uwsp.edu/psych/s/275/science/coevolution03.pdf) was posted in an earlier thread about the coevolution of humans and canids - an interesting argument about how we were domesticated by wolves. I like the fact that the first author's name is Wolfgang Schleidt.

All the best,

Rod

Michael Tomasello (http://email.eva.mpg.de/~tomas/) has also explored the 'whites of the eyes' idea: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/13/opinion/13tomasello.html?_r=1

and has done some interesting work on dogs: http://email.eva.mpg.de/~tomas/pdf/Hare_Tomasello05.pdf
