*JOB DESCRIPTION*

The Department of Early Childhood Education and Art Education in the School
of Education at Brooklyn College is accepting applications for two tenure
track, Assistant Professor positions in Early Childhood Education (Birth to
Grade 2).

The successful candidates will play an integral role in the development of
a growing dynamic Early Childhood Education program that fuses the arts and
aesthetic education across the curriculum. Teach undergraduate and graduate
courses in early childhood or early childhood special education. Develop
and supervise clinically-rich field experiences in early childhood settings
and/or schools located in culturally and linguistically diverse urban
communities. Collaborate with outside programs and agencies, including
JumpStart and the Lincoln Center Institute. Mentor and advise students,
engage in an active research agenda, and serve on department, campus, and
university committees. All appointments are subject to financial
availability.
