There IS some censorship in the "inverse way" (that is, censorship that occurred in 1956 that did NOT occur in 1934).

For example, at the beginning of Chapter Five, Vygotsky notes that most studies of concept formation "including all studies which rely on psychometric tests" begin with the method of definition.

The words in quotation marks were cut in 1956, apparently because it was then forbidden to even MENTION the word "test". That's how Stalinists think--you can't even CRITICIZE it, or you make it sound sexy!
