Re: [xmca] Information about Russian Vygotsky School 2009

Mike-
I DO agree with you ...although I got excited emails from a few people. I
would ask Lena Kravtsova about the virtual possibility, I also have my own
connection in Rostov, used to work with schools there, I will see what I can
do about opportunity for people to be virtually there. I also have trouble
going there in the end of June as I will be hopefully at the Bakhtin
conference in Sweden at the beginning of june and going to Europe twice a
month is a problem.
At this point I chose to help for when I went to Moscow conference as a
presenter, it was painful for me to see the various levels of
misunderstanding, so I found myself being a cultural and transcultural
mediator in Moscow. It seems to me that some of the projects developed
within the teleconference with you and Lois as well as some discussions
after can be an effective shift to both intracultural collaboration in
Russia and intercultural collaboration with people interested outside
Russia. I work with Lena Kravtsova now on the letter about Vygotsky Society
and the projects we discussed with Asmolov, Veraksa, Sobkin and Glina
Zukerman, Lois, etc.
I will send it to xmcaers soon.
