Research Assistant
King's College London, Department of Education & Professional Studies

The Department of Education and Professional Studies (DEPS), in the School
of Social Science and Public Policy, wishes to appoint a Research Assistant
to a 20-month ESRC-funded project on English as an Additional Language (EAL)
and Academic Literacies led by Professors Constant Leung and Brian Street.
The research is focused on the English language and literacy demands
experienced by two categories of students at school and university: UK-based
'non-traditional' students from social/familial backgrounds where
participation in university education has not been an established norm, and
ethnolinguistic minority students who comprise both UK/EU-based students and
(particularly in university) international students from other parts of the
world.
