At the Amsterdam ISCAR conference there was a group from South Africa who were working on AIDS -- specifically, on the use of images and signs in communicating about safe sex practices. Their abstract and contact information shoudl be in the Proceedings from that conference.

Hi
Has anybody written an account of the HIV/Aids epidemic in Cultural
Historical terms? If so, would you mind communicating with me? I have
extensive experience here, and would like to write a paper on it for our
next conference.
