Psychology at University of Tennessee is building/strengthening its
developmental program. We hired someone in cognitive neuroscience last year
and we are looking this year for someone in language or perceptual
development.

*The Department of Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville,
invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in
developmental psychology for the academic year beginning in August, 2008. The
Department is particularly interested in candidates studying language or
perceptual development, but strong candidates in other areas of development
are also encouraged to apply. The Department currently consists of 31
faculty and four full-time lecturers in three Ph.D. programs (Clinical,
Counseling, and Experimental). This position is part of the Experimental
Program which comprises Biological, Developmental, and Social research
areas. Candidates should have a Ph.D., a strong research record, and
enthusiasm for teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful
candidates are expected to demonstrate potential for extramural funding.
Applicants should submit their vita, research statement, representative
publications and three letters of recommendation to the Developmental Search
Committee, c/o Ms. Connie Ogle, Department of Psychology, University of
Tennessee, Knoxville, TN 37996-0900. Review of applications will begin
November 1st and continue until the position is filled. The University
