Greetings!
I would like some assistance...I am a doctoral student at the University of
Arizona in Tucson, studying the neurodevelopmental impact of childhood
abuse, neglect and violence.

Work done by Perry and associates (as well as others) depict actual
morphological and physiological changes to the brain as a result of chronic
childhood abuse, neglect and violence. Eventually, these changes may have a
negative consequential impact on the adult exposed to these afflictions. The
results are often seen as homicide, suicide, alcohol abuse and other forms
of drug abuse. The impact of this public health issue is just now being
assessed, and to a certain degree, addressed.

Has there been work done in this area that is grounded in
cultural-historical psychology or CHAT? I would appreciate any assistance
you be able to provide me with. Thank you in advance. Tommy+
