Hello --
I am interested in organizing a symposium or cluster of presentations at ISCAR on the subject of learning at work. I mean "work" in the sense of earning a living, work that has an economic dimension. I also mean "learning" in the sense of learning at work, learning how to do a particular kind of work, learning the social norms of work, learning about the political economy of work. I would include teaching all the above. Learning might be formal or informal, collective or individual, contemporary or historic. The content of the learning could be workplace literacy, technical skills, negotiation skills, etc. Teaching itself is also work, of course.
Would anyone else be interested in this?
