Armando:
What I think is that Seth Chaiklen has the best interpretation of
Vygotsky's intention for the zpd; meaning an assessment of a student's
ability beyond their independant functional level. Thereby, it is my
opinion that the zpd falls within the ontogentic level of development.
Co-construction falls within the phylogenetic level of development.
Hopefully, Mike Cole, will speak more to his thoughts regarding 'cultural
effects of and on the development of phylogony'.
I know this is different then what you think but does this make sense, or
no?

Eric: I dont like to look at ZPD as individual but as
a colective interperson al situation. This means that
ZPD do not belong to an individual but it is
constructed or co-constructed. I also work in
educational aplication of Vygotsky and I am tried to
unified the concept od ZPD and Social Situation odf
Development. What do you think about that
