Research Director
The California Child Care Resource and Referral Network, a fast-paced sta=
tewide child care training and advocacy organization, seeks a skilled and=
experienced Research Director for its San Francisco office. The Researc=
h Director will supervise staff, direct the Network=92s research projects=
, and administer budgets, contracts, and grants. In addition, the Resear=
ch Director plays a critical role in integrating data and the department=92=
s research projects with the Network=92s advocacy, planning, and policy w=
ork. Projects and tasks that the Research Director will oversee include:=
1) conducting a large-scale, statewide telephone survey of child care p=
roviders, 2) collecting, cleaning, aggregating and reporting local data o=
n child care supply, costs, and provider compensation, 3) providing techn=
ical assistance to the local member agencies on data collection technique=
s, 4) helping local member agencies use data for planning and policy, and=
5) helping the Network staff and the local agencies use technology and d=
ata tools to improve services. Full-time, $48,000=96 60,000 DOE with exc=
ellent benefits. Masters degree in Social Work, Public Policy, Public Ad=
ministration, or related subject required. Demonstrated expertise in col=
lecting, cleaning, aggregating, analyzing, and reporting data from multip=
le data sources. Excellent writing, oral communication, and presentation=
, skills required. Experience managing large-scale telephone surveys. E=
xcel, Access, and SAS expertise preferred. Excellent supervisory skills.=
