Regarding a dictionary for CHAT I would like to have people think perhaps
more in terms of mapping. For if I were to think of a definition for PROCESS
STRUCTURE ANALYSES then I would write words to the effect of . . .the study
of the co-genesis of ontogenetic & microgenetic inidividual structures merged
with sociogenetic and cultural genetic processes during a present-to-future
frame of reference. Within every word of this definition would be what LSV
calls a 'microcosm of science' or 'every word is atheory'. So in this
vernacular it could be considered empirical to test the truth of each of
these words being included within my definition.
Perhaps more a mapping of cultural lexicons is more in order; perhaps along
the line of Diane's paper of dialogic inquiry (sorry Diane if I am using the
wrong term) into her student teaching experience. Coincidentally Skinner and
Valsiner also wrote about the dialectic of Napalese (?) womenb they literally
go through a dialogue to form their identity as adults [I can dig out the
reference if anyone is interested].
Make sense?
