PROCEDURE TO PRESENT WORK PROPOSALS TO THE EVENT
Presentations can be as independent papers, symposiums, posters and interactive workshops.
The different possibilities to present have the purpose to stimulate the participantion not only of independent professionals and researchers but of groups and institutions that gather professional and researchers as well, and who wish to present their scientific papers and/or points of view about the different problems summoned to discussion by the Congress. This will enable those groups of researchers or those from different institutions that are in some way related in work or science to present their studies, research results and practical applications in a systemic way or in polemic conditions to promote debate and scientific construction. In this case the Organization Committee will receive the proposal completely organized and will place it in one of the days and sessions of the Congress.
Independent papers will be organized in discussion sessions so that they answer to an area of work, a theme and if possible to concrete problems. These sessions will be organized with 15 minutes to present each paper and 30 minutes at the end of the session for general discussion.
Within this modality, independent papers may be presented collectively as a session. Those interested in participating can propose, from their own Universities, research or working centers, where Psychology is applied, a session (4 hours) or part of a session (2 hours) with independent papers that cover the mentioned time. These sessions will be organized with 15 minutes to present each paper and 30 minutes at the end of the session for general discussion. Half a session will have at the most 6 presentations, a full session may have up to 12. Time includes half an hour for discussion and another half for recess.
Any of the two ways must have:
Independent papers: Title of the paper, an abstract of 300 words.
Collective session: Title of the session and of each work, a general abstract of 300 words and an abstract of 300 words for each paper.
In both, state the name(s) of the participant(s), institution(s) were they work, address, phone, fax and e-mail address and means needed for the presentation.
The modality of Interactive symposium is organized around a common and general problem of empiric or theoretical research or of the professional practice. Different participants give their point of views, research results or practical experiences to answer, explain or give evidence of the effectiveness of a certain way of systematical work. The session will last 2 hours and may have up to 4 participants.
This modality may be organized with up to 2 more specific participants that react critically in favor or against the general content presented by the other participants. It will last up to two hours. If there is no reaction, the debate should be held among the original participants. Al least thirty minutes must be for debate or to answer questions from the assistants.
Any of the two ways must have:
Title of the Symposium and of the papers to be presented, including the reactions if this way is chosen. A 300 words abstract explaining its general content and the 300 word abstracts of each paper including also those of the reaction, if this modality is used. The name of the coordinator or other participants, institutions they represen,.address, telephone fax and e-mail address and the means needed to present each paper.
Posters with or without debate. In this way of presentation it is necessary to state if it is a collective presentation, if it is with debate or a simple presentation and debate during presentation time. Posters with debate will have up to 4 participants maximum.
Both ways should have:
Title of the poster if it is independent or of the session and works included if it is collective and with debate. A 300 words abstract if independent and a general abstract of 300 word plus one for each paper included if it is collective and with debate. The name or names of the participants, institutions they represent. Address, telephone, fax and e-mail address.
Interactive workshops. This is a modality that permits more time to those participants that wish to present a diagnostic or intervention methodology in any of the fields of science. It will take place parallel to the sessions of the event. They can have up to 4 hours maximum.
You have to present a 500 words abtract that explains what is the workshop about, the content to be presented, name or names of the participants, institutions they come from, address, telephone, fax and e-mail address. Also means needed.
