Phil-- Why not post your paper on xmca website? I am sure that a number of
us would like to see it get wider ciculation and discussion and with all those
little >>>>>> in front of every line, in text, it is hard to deal with.
I find in my university that in order to create small pockets/niches of
alternative practices/understandings/relations, I must either pay a hefty
fee ahead of time in terms of over-large classes and clearly inferior
education on the managerial model (to pay for my sins) or, link what I
am doing to some other goal of the university which it does not usually
deliver on (like, for example, being a land grant college with obligations
to its community) and do it in a way that leaves everyone confused.... and
in that confusion real education and community sometimes emerge.
