Here's a less personal way to look at it, and more in line with Mandelbrot's
derivation -- the pattern in number of email messages ranked in categories of
"how big" the messages are:

Notice a similar discrepancy, but for small messages. Apparently there aren't
enough small messages going around. Graphs for two other mailing lists have a
similar feature. There is a serious dearth of "email-bytes" in the world. ;-)
