Hello from a lurker,
I too have been enjoying the past many posts as they draw me away the
overwhelming task of dissertation writing. It is usually Saturday morning
that I awaken to the reminder that I have strayed from my self imposed
writing schedule and have today to get back on track. Enough, you have all
"been there done that." The reason I am coming out of the shadows where I
lurk is that I need to tap into your expertise for direction.
I am a teacher educator not a psychologist and I am wanting to understand how
activity theory and ZPD plays out for the experienced learner. Seems that the
social, cultural historical aspects would carry more weight and the ZPD would
become a self regulating mechanism for learning. In that light how is it
possible for adults to
internalize new ways of thinking. I'm not sure I am saying this right but
what I need from you is where should I go with my review of the literature?
How does activity theory play out for adult learners? Is there an article or
text something dealing with this topic, activity theory, as it pertains to
the experienced learner? Margaret
