jumping to conclusions

You probably know that jumping to conclusions is one of the typical
characteristics of these cycles on listservs (the Blake listserv was the
most egregious example I've ever seen). So I want to correct your fear that
Bonnie Nardi's unsubscribing might be necessarily related to the Daly
discussion. More likely it's related to the fact that she's on vacation
since I received this automatic message after sending a reply to something
she wrote to me.
