Paul, I see the partial truth of difference to be useful for the difficult
work of forging common ground. Two (or more) individuals "inundated" by the
proliferating differences of the post-modern world need in their
communication some way of marking the partiality of the understandings and
the biases of their positions. Bald assertions of one's view of truth,
devoid of context & qualification, don't help, _in my view_. I have found
your use of 1st person in the last couple of messages to be a welcome marker
of your own positioning. I have also understood your position in a way that
I could not in previous messages. The perspective AND the content need to be
attended to by all of us these days.
