I was asked to place the call for proposals, set up a review board and
organize the U.S./XMCA part of the program. The deadline for proposals,
roundtables, symposia and posters is May 1, 1999. My plan is to provide
feedback and announce what is accepted within 3-4 weeks.
Please submit your proposals, including sessions, electronically as well as
by snail mail a la AERA (3 copies etc) to my address below.
I need help, would some of you volunteer to serve as reviewers. They will
accept our subprogram in their program.
They are really hoping for participation from North America. U.S. citizens
need to obtain a licence from the U.S. Treasury department (Steve Pinter,
Office of Foreign assets Control, Wash DC 20220 202 622 1657 fax.
You'll have to fly in from Cancun, the Bahamas , Canada etc unless things
change in the meantime.

The package deal for 5 nights hotel, breakfast and registration is $650 per
perso,, $550.00 double at a 4-5 star hotel.
Dr. G. Arias will be at AERA in Montreal and can provide additional
information as one of the organizers. While the focus here is on CHAT from
an interdisciplinary base, the conference aims to include 11 other groups
in the brochure I have which I can fax (in Spanish thus far) that include,
health, social psych, H, Qualitative Research, Human Development,
anthropology, sociology, social work etc..
