Mrs. Ekeblad,

After reading your comments on MaA/2 I wonder if you could help me to=20
answer some questions which rose in a recent presential and informal=20
discussion with some fiends of mine here, in Brazil. These questions are=20
related to qualitative methodologies.

1) Is there any diference between an ethnografic researh and a=20
qualitative research? If so, what's the difference? (Since this taxonomy=20
had been established by the coutries of the planet's north area that's=20
why I'm asking you)
2) Is it possible that an ethonographic research can be named as an=20
action/ing research (ivestigaci=F3n-acci=F3n/pesquisa-a=E7=E3o/ pesquisa=20
participante)? (Hope you really can understand my dirty english)
3) Since the significativeness of a word changes in diferent situations,
and along cultural development of one, in a rigorous register
(scientific one) what should be the reasons to use one specific word and=20
not other - that can means the same?=20

is this a Zone of Proximal Development?
In my unpretentious opinion, I think that's a social area of potential=20
development.=20

On a qualitative methods list
I'm lurking on there has just been another little round of methods=20
anxiety in which one of the participants noted that in discussing=20
"interjudge reliability" as much time (or more) was spent explaining how=20
we DON'T use the term, than what we do.=20

So I'm curious if anybody else has any queries on the assumptions and
terminology of Ch2?
