Unity in Diversity (! or ?)

And by way of explanation, that Mike had responded to the Delpit/Dewey
posting led me to go back to his on-line paper on diversity, which led to
the association with the diversity strategies he mentioned, which led to
confusion, complete and total. Don't read my previous message as some
wise-guy remark, of which I realize it is known I am capable of... This
has to do with Lisa's advocation of acquiring the practices of the culture
of power - does this lead to assimilation as much as Dewey's broader
horizon strategy?

My class tonight is about diversity (tommorrow is 'diversity day at
Lesley) and I am pleased to say that I am about as close to the Freire
ideal of being a co-learner with the students as is possible.
