Dear Olga and Eva,
I like Olga's definition as I pursue the issue of creativity and
collaboration. The other day I was speaking to a young applied
mathematician who decided to leave her field. In the workplace she
was pursuing her task, the easy exciting flow of dialogue had ceased. She
hated being stuck with her own ideas without the challenge of the
relationship with others.
And here in the Southwest of the United States, where Native American
cultures are strong, I have been told of a Pueblo definition of
giftedness, that the person who knows how to share his/her
passion and skill is the one who is considered gifted.
I would not mind continuing this thread,
Vera
