My thinking about learning and mediation and development and social
relations derives from GH Mead, as well as from Dewey, and from Reuven
Feuerstein. Are any of you familiar with Feuerstein? I apologize if this
is an old topic, and I have not read the list archives.
I found Feuerstein's work valuable because he incorporated Vygotsky,
Piaget and much of Durkheim into his theory of mediated learning
experience, MLE, as well as into the rationale for the Learning
Potential Assessment Device. Since I see no reference to Mead or
Feuerstein on the website I am curious to know if it is due to
unfamiliarity or to what you consider problematic with their work.
