Sarason's book on the Creation of Settings was focused on social-
institutional issues that did not, as I recall, include architecture.
However, in his later writings concerning schooling, he has consistently
argued for the interconnectedness of the various different levels of
institutional arrangements and I am sure he would be sympathetic to
the current discussion re the interconnectnedness of architectural
arrangements and the activities that occur within them as well as
the need to work with future inhabitants on design.
