For the past year we have been experimenting with exactly the issues
that you identify vis a vis distance ed. A couple of grad students
have papers and reports in the works. Also, we did a really interesting
interactive seminar between Moscow and New York recently.This field
is WIDE OPEN at present; the way in which issues about classroom organization,
technology, etc we have seen here on XMCA play out in distance ed
facilities is almost too veridical to be believable.
