There is only one I feel professionally able to help realize --
it began as a discussion list for teachers of English
who had access to the Internet and who were interested in doing
research on writing in their classrooms. Out of the initial effort,
other supporting activity structures were conceived, which we (a
steering committee of teacher researchers and a few faculty) will
be developing this year. I am hopeful that the interrelated
activity structures and the Wiz Pros that are developed this
year will help teacher research on writing to take root
in enough classrooms throughout the state to afford the
participants (yes, including me) a place to "share"
resources and to exploit those of the University
& the Internet for various writing-related projects. I am
reluctant to throw too many of my own words out ahead of
the collective deeds.
