Although my knowledge is second hand, mainly through Mikhail Yaroshevsky's
*Lev Vygotsky* (Moscow, Progress Publishers), I'd say Vygotsky's The
Psychology of Art would inform a CHAT-y view of affect. When setting up the
book exhibit for the Vytotsky conference I lobbied hard for Harvard U.P. to
reissue it--perhaps others who work with Harvard could make similar appeals
to the financial opportunities of a reprinting, if not the intellectual
necessity of having the book in circulation again.
