I am a teacher, a narrative writing teacher, and a doctoral student who is
just opening the gift of Vygotsky. Living inside my head is wonderful but I
miss the "headiness" of my kindergarten classroom. I have gotten a taste of
college teaching and of research wiht both professors and as a teacher
researcher. Living in my graduate cubby and watching and listening to the
activities of my own porfessors I have been able to lay aside the "ivory
tower mentality" defintions I carried of academics.
It takes all of us to make sense of where we are and where we are going.
