Hello and thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. I am a doctoral
student in Louisiana State University's Department of Curriculum and
Instruction. My dissertation research is concerned with the implementation
of reform efforts which are intended to bring undergraduate mathematics
courses more in line with prevailing theories of mathematics education.
I am interested in framing this implementation process by examining the
different cultures of mathematics and mathematics education communities in and
among colleges and universities. Questions and suggestions are welcome and
appreciated.
