Greetings:
As it says above, my name is Melinda Conlee. For the past three years, I
have been doing research in Problem-based Learning in the dept. of Medical
Education, SIU School of Medicine. Although I have worked on various
projects, my work usually has been focussed on medical student's reasoning
as manifests in conversations in classrooms and simulated clinical
environments. This focus has taken me to various fields of study such as,
ethnography, conversation analysis, cognitive psychology, educational
theory, methods, and evaluation, Computer Supported Collaborative Learning,
etc.
I was formerly on xlchc and found it very useful for my work. I'm hoping
xmca will also be helpful. In the past, I have been a lurker on these lists
and will probably remain so. Nonetheless, I look forward to being a part
of this list.
