I am in Early Childood Education in the School of Education at Indiana
University - Bloomington. My research interests are in two areas: 1)
classroom discourse, (teacher - child interaction) and its influence on
learning and teaching; and 2) teaching as a moral activity, that is,
the looking at the classroom as a moral context, and in conceptualizing
the activities that occur in classrooms, as influencing how teachers
and children come to develop an understanding of the moral and begin
to see themselves as moral agents.
