I am Jens Mammen, psychology professor (Danish: docent) at
the Institute of Psychology, University of Aarhus, Denmark.
I am working in the field of general and theoretical
psychology and interested in Activity Theory and the
philosophical and methodological foundations of psychology.
With my Danish colleagues I have for some years planned and
participated in the annual Danish conferences for Activity
Theory and related activities, among them contributed to two
volumes on AT in Denmark "Essays in general psychology"
(1989) and "The societal subject" (1993), both Aarhus
University Press. See also my article in Multidisciplinary
