Visiting Assistant Professor in Human Development

Brown University’s Department of Education seeks to hire a full-time
Visiting Assistant Professor in Human Development for the academic year
2012-13. The appointment starts on July 1, 2012. The successful candidate
is expected to have earned a doctorate degree in child (human) development,
psychology, or educational psychology with expertise in developmental
contexts of race, ethnicity, and culture. The successful candidate will
also be expected to supervise students' research, theses, and other
academic learning engagements. This position will be responsible to teach
four courses, including Contemporary Social Problems: Views from Human
Development and Education, History and Theories of Child Development, and
one of the methods courses for undergraduate and graduate students.

Deadline for receipt of applications to receive full consideration is April
27, 2012. Please send a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, two writing
samples, and three letters of reference to: Assistant to the Faculty Search
Committee, at educationfacultysearch@brown.edu. Please put the position
