Young Scholars Program!

The planning committee of the Young Scholars Program is excited to let you
know that we are accepting applications until November 1, 2011. That
deadline is fast approaching!

There’s one website for applications to be a young scholar, a junior mentor,

Why should you apply?

   1. There are perks to being a young scholar, a junior mentor, and a
   senior mentor. Read about them on the

   .
   2. Mentorship is important professional development for the person
   mentored as well as for the mentor.
   3. Dr. Richard Lee from the University of Minnesota will present at our
   preconference, and he’s always an inspiration.
   4. You know you’ll see old friends in Vancouver, but conferences are a
   great place to make new ones.
   5. *Young Scholars* - our preconference activities are designed to help
   you build the relationships and skills necessary for success in your career.
   6. *Junior Mentors* - it wasn’t long ago that you would have been
   eligible to be a young scholar.  Impart the wisdom you wish you had been
   shared.
   7. *Senior Mentors* - the individuals we serve in this program are
   underrepresented in our field, and you can play a vital role in changing
   that truth.
   8. There will be food and community.
