The Department of Developmental Psychology
Institute of Psychology, University of Göttingen

invites applications for a

Post Doctoral Position in Developmental Psychology

The 2.5-year-position is part of a project on young children's developing
social cognition funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.

Research focus.
The Department of Developmental Psychology investigates the cognitive
development of young children.
The theoretical focus of the specific project is on the early development of
social cognition, shared intentionality and normativity.  The empirical
approach involves experimental behavioural studies with young children.
Requirements.
Applicants should have a strong research background in child development,
cognitive psychology or a related discipline, should have a keen interest in
interdisciplinary cognitive science and a completed or near completed PhD in
psychology or a neighboring discipline.  Experience in experimental studies
with children and German language skills are desirable.


Starting date for the position is from October 2009 (or later).  Deadline
for applications is August 31, 2009.
