One reason the account looked dubious to me from the start is that I
couldn't imagine McCain vacationing anyplace that a college professor
could afford to go (I don't know anything about Turtle Island).
I didn't want to stereotype, and I do know faculty members with spouses
much wealthier than they are; but most professors only have one home,
for
example (unlike McCain, who wasn't able to answer how many homes he
owns).
