The Developmental Training Program at the University of Chicago welcomes
applications for GRADUATE STUDY. We invite your students to visit our
website: http://devpsych.uchicago.edu <http://devpsych.uchicago.edu/>
The program's core faculty are in the Developmental area of the
Psychology Department, and the program is further enriched by
researchers from across the University with substantive interests in
developmental issues. Our research programs address fundamental issues
in cognitive, language, and social development. Within these domains,
cross-cutting approaches focus on developmental processes at the
biological, individual and contextual levels.
Our program has a strong tradition of collaborative and
interdisciplinary research and teaching. Through intensive coursework,
speaker series, conferences, and research and teaching opportunities,
students are trained in a broad range of theoretical approaches and
empirical techniques.
Pre-doctoral Trainees receive full tuition support and stipend for five
years, as well as access to funds for research and travel expenses.
The University of Chicago encourages African-American, Hispanic-American
and Native-American students to apply for graduate study. The University
places a high priority on the creation of an environment supportive of
ethnic minorities, women, and persons with disabilities.
