RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS
Theme: The Meaning of the New Networked Age
The Annenberg Center for Communication (ACC) at the University of
Southern California (USC) invites applications for research fellows
to take part in a major interdisciplinary research initiative
exploring the "The Meaning of the New Networked Age: Innovation,
Content, Society, and Policy." We are especially interested in
interdisciplinary research related to technology, politics and civic
engagement, communication law and policy, and peer-to-peer production/
distribution of culture and knowledge.
All fellowships are for residency during the 2006-07 academic year.
Postdoctoral Fellowships (up to 8 positions)
For scholars who have completed their Ph.D since 2001. However,
researchers with at least four years of relevant, real-world
experience will also be considered. The fellowship carries a stipend
of $45,000 in addition to a limited amount of funds to support
research and relocation expenses.
Senior Visiting Scholar (1 position)
The senior visiting scholar position is intended for a mid-career
scholar with a well established track record and demonstrated
leadership/expertise related to the theme. The stipend will be
commensurate with the scholar's current position. ACC will also
provide a limited amount of funds to support research and relocation
expenses.
