Subject: Virus infected email circulating with "Rape" in the Subject
To: Yale University faculty, staff and students
Yale has received more than 4,000 messages from various sources with forged
headers purporting to be from "southern.edu" and with a message describing a
rape on campus. The email message has an attachment containing a virus.
ITS has instituted a block of these messages and few, if any, should now be
delivered to the Yale community.
If you have received one of the messages, do not click on the attachment
(that will activate the virus). If you have done so, disconnect your
computer from the network and notify your IT support provider or the ITS
Help Desk (785-3200, 432-9000, helpdesk@yale.edu ) immediately.

Updates will be posted at: http://www.yale.edu/its/status
