Yes, Mike, there was! I had forgotten (it was way back on the Wednesday of
the congress), so thanks for the reminder.
I heard two presentations at that session, which was entitled Studying
Health Care in Social Practice. One was Ole's and the other was on
rehabilitation and based on his ideas. In his talk, Ole raised a
contradiction of therapy, namely that it is meant to have effects outside
the therapy and yet the structure of therapy is one of seclusion. I don't
recall a lot said other than this separates things from their
interconnectedness.
As for papers for discussion, it there is interest in this therapy issue and
also in the "other side" of Marx (i.e., human/species development), then I
could offer my Activating Postmodernism, a paper that will appear in the Feb
06 issue of Theory & Psychology, a special issue entitled What Kind of
Theory is Activity Theory? which I guest-edited (Mike, this is the journal I
invited you to write an article for, but it unfortunately came at a time you
couldn't do it).
