Well I figured out how the spammers were attacking the list. They were sending mail (are sending mail) directly to the list archive address. Time to come up with a different strategy for getting mail into the archive. Meanwhile, any message with a "To:" address of xmcarch<at>communication<dot>ucsd<dot>edu should be viewed as bogus. bj -
