Another angle would seem to be how one gets
classified. More often than not it is a label given
outside of the school system itself (unlike LD, ED
etc).
Given two populations one may be more resistant to the
label, and those that are labeled so are more
agressive and have social problems with peers.
Or to put it another way, would an innercity African
American population be more likely to listen to
teachers suggestions on their children "ADHD" in
contrast to a white working class population.
In either case, I don't think it can be understood
a-culturally or a-historically.
