King et al,
just a suggestion, when you do the planning meeting in Seville, perhaps
suggest some linkages with the Brazilian group that recently met,
Hominis in Cuba with plans for 2004, and SIP which now has a CHAT
oriented president and their group meets in Peru next year ( I can get
you e mails for the last 2). With out CHAT SIG we can stay connected
every year to some extent. SIP is attempting to develop a SIG like ours
in their org from what i surmised recently.
I'm not sure if they have reps going.

Both ISCRAT and Society for Sociocultural Studies met every four
years, offset from each other by two years, so effectively one or the
other was held every two years. As a single organization, we felt
that we did not have the capacity to host an international congress
every two years, but that 4 yrs. was too long between meetings, so we
ended up with every three years, which makes it 2005 in Seville.
