Perhaps by way of summary, i'd like to add that Gordon's joint work with kids
and teachers is more than impressive. As one who has tried to follow a
similar path, and has been continuously clobbered by the institutional and
personal barriers, I don't know how he makes it work. It takes enormous
effort, persistance, and patience. Ya really have to admire the successes
when they are so hard to come by.

Those few seconds of collaborative discourse was years in the making by
Gordon, who has studied the development of language with children, who has
IMHO, had to put consistent effort at being in the classroom and most likely
has made the Hawthorn effect effective, aka action research. It was also
years in the making by the teacher -- in G's testimony about the situation, i
missed a description of how long G had been working with the teacher.

anyway gotta run,
"whose line is it anyway" is on. Time for some chuckles.
